Thank You
I would like to thank everyone for your support; all of the wonderful notes and prayers and positive vibes I have received over the past few months has been overwhelming. I have felt love from all around the world and I couldn’t be more thankful. This journey has been nothing short of challenging, but the encouraging messages from everyone truly helped me continue to push forward.
- To all of the clubs/fans/people in Finland, Czech Republic, Germany, and the Philippines: you have been amazing. I was so touched by the willingness and want to help; it’s a beautiful thing when you can go to another country, even for a couple of months, and really connect with people. I will never be able to repay you for the kindness you have shown me.
- For my former teammates from all over the world: I love each and every one of you. I have learned so much on and off the court and I cherish the short amount of time I had with all of you. To learning new words/songs, eating new foods, being encouraged to drive in a foreign country. . . Those are memories I will never forget.
- To my friends: thank you for putting up with me and sticking with me through it all. I am so happy to have you in my life, even if it means talking once a week. I could see you once a year and my love for you will never change.
- To my amazing, wonderful, perfect family: yes, I said perfect. I would not have made it through this without you, and I truly mean that.
- To the most amazing man I have ever met: for loving me even when I made it extremely difficult. Telling me I’m more beautiful without makeup and even hair. For laying with me after my surgery for five days straight because I couldn’t even stand up. For making me laugh and bringing me complete and total happiness, and for helping me to forget all of the bad things happening around me. I love you, Tyler Kade Stoddard.
- Last but not least, God: you’re the man. Even when I didn’t want to believe you were there, I knew you were. By my side, through everything. Testing me just enough to make me stronger but not to make me break. All those things I said when I was mad I didn’t mean, and I know you still love me. I still love you. Thank you.
- I would also like to personally thank Paige Griffith for her amazing photography skills. To Ryan Putnam for going on my hair journey with me (more pics/vids to follow). C.M.Buxton and the wonderful girls at SkinChic. The doctors, nurses, and surgeons who helped me through all of this. And a HUGE thank you to everyone at the cancer center; you made me want to go get chemo every day.
